Community Life plays a unique role at St. Benedict Parish by planning events that help promote a sense of parish unity. Our goal is to bring people together for enjoyment, relaxation and community building, outside of liturgy. Faith, Family, Fellowship!
Small Groups
(contact the parish office if interested, 563-382-9631 or email [email protected])
What: Small groups consist of 4-10 people (couples groups, men's groups, women's groups) and are led by a fellow parishioner...
...that gather once a week in a comfortable, relaxed environment. If you must miss a session, no worries.
Groups often meet for around 6 weeks continually, then take a break before they convene again for a new series of sessions.
You would read a Scripture passage with the group, have discussion on it, and apply it to your life.
…In the process, you would learn more about the Lord, more about yourself, and more about others.
…In the process, you would grow closer to the Lord, closer who you truly are, and closer to others.
NO reading outside of the group, NO judgements, NO necessary prior knowledge needed.
…All that is needed: an open heart and mind.
Involvement in events as desired such as Salad Luncheon and quilt making. Requires the desire to serve and create fellowship with other Catholic women.
